130 West 12th Street
MPFP teamed with Cook + Fox Architects for the renovation of 130 West 12th street turning this postwar masterpiece in to a 21st century classic residential building. The work included updating the buildings front entrance to make it feel fresh and new, while respecting the heritage of the existing architecture. MPFP provided a design for the rooftop that supported Rudin Management’s dual goals of creating a sustainable residential building while providing a luxury amenities and refined design to its tenants. A portion of the roof was dedicated to the installation of an intensive green roof system that was designed to create visual interest for tenants accessing the adjacent amenity space, which featured wood decked dining and sunbathing areas, while concurrently reducing the buildings storm water runoff and decreasing the buildings cooling loads.
