Randall's Island Park
A major civic asset to New York City residents and visitors alike, Randall’s Island Park is an expansive public park that represents one of the largest city-funded initiatives in over a century, establishing itself as the premier destination for sports and recreation.
Managed by the Randall’s Island Park Alliance (RIPA), MPFP designed and implemented a multi-year program to transform the 480-acre park from underutilized parkland to a vibrant multi-purpose park.
Working closely with Zurita Architecture and Planning as well as various City agencies, MPFP developed a comprehensive, multi-phase Master Plan focused on developing sports and recreational facilities, improving parkland, restoring the natural environment, and providing contemporary comfort amenities for park-goers. Proposed facilities include a variety of new sports fields, a renovated golf center, a cutting-edge stadium, a Tennis Center, a Category 3 Track Center, an Ice Hockey Field House, various Parks Department Comfort Stations, new parking systems, and dedicated pedestrian and bicycle waterfront paths.
Environmental stewardship and positive community impact are at the forefront of the Master Plan goals – in response, MPFP developed an island-wide network of pedestrian and bicycle paths, designed various gardens with native plant materials, and restored over 9-acres of natural wetland. Beyond their natural beauty, MPFP’s garden environments and restored wetland areas are premiere opportunities for children’s environmental education, offering a living classroom for New York City schools.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
