Greenwich Lane
New York, NY
MPFP was commissioned by Rudin Management Company to create an attractive and useable .04 acre city park that would simultaneously be an amenity to the community it is set in, while also memorializing 2 great tragedies linked to the formerly neighboring St. Vincent’s hospital; the AIDS crisis and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. MPFP turned to successful neighboring community parks to help inspire the vocabulary and programming for the Rudin Triangle. The design focused on creating areas of both fixed and movable seating setup for both socializing and quiet reflection. Seating areas were defined by plantings of trees and lawn.
