Urban Design

MPFP collaborated with DCS Design and Shalom Baranes to develop a luxury open-air courtyard, 4th floor terrace and community rooftop space.  Each space hosts a multitude of groundcover, shrubs, perennials and ornamental trees to create an intimate outdoors experience in the interior of this building.

This downtown Washington development rooftop encompasses a swimming pool, two jacuzzis, three green walls, outdoor kitchens (communal and private), and myriad seating in carefully programmed lounge areas. Sun chairs line the swimming pool and connect a stepping lawn to the back of the rooftop meant for social events and hosting.

Fourth floor terraces connect directly to private apartments, providing residents intimate spaces for relaxing or entertaining. The ipe terraces are surrounded by green roof mats and green walls and look directly into the open air courtyards.

The ground floor courtyard ties the ipe, stone and seasonal planting materials together in this second floor space, open to the sky above, as well as to the gymnasium and other interior facilities surrounding this area. Glass walls allow users to peer into the courtyard at all times of the year, providing the building with a beautiful sanctuary for visitors and residents alike.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
